経糸は、複数種類の括りパターンを組み合わせることで柄を構築することができます。その際、括りパターンごとに配色を変えたり、同一色で作ったりと様々な変化を持たせることもできます。「引き合わせ」と呼んでいる柄留めの作業では等間隔に柄を固定するため、写真では別糸で柄を固定しているのが確認できます。
