＜水玉柄の特徴＞プリントとは違う久留米絣で作ることの面白さは「括り技法」による柄の表現。図案上は同じ大きさ、等間隔に設計されていても、染色、括り工程の中でのテンションの微妙な差異などで発生する誤差で一つ一つの水玉の形が違います。全体的なバランスは整っているのに水玉に個性が生まれるところが久留米絣の不思議なところで魅力の一つであると感じます。
