The warp threads are navy blue and white stripes.
Two of them are lined up alternately. Kasuri craftsmen count 2 threads = Hitoha when counting threads. This is because, in the case of the most basic weaving method called “plain weave”, the upper thread and the lower thread pass through the warp in one set.
Weaving with a loom called Yoncho.
The feature of this loom is that weft threads can be used in a combination of up to 4 colors.
In this loom, weft threads are set so that the navy blue and the white alternate with each round trip.Control the movement of the weft by freely combining metal plates with holes called Garaban.
It means that the “small houndstooth lattice” was completed.
