ヨコ絣とタテヨコ絣は、右側の耳の折り返しの部分を括り、白くすることで、ここを目印に柄合わせして、織っていきます。そのため耳の折り返しのところは、絣特有の模様が出現します。本物の絣かどうかを判別するときの目安の一つにもなります。
