タテヨコ絣を動力織機で織るための工夫。
経糸と緯糸の密度、本数は同じ。
20cm〜22cmと比較的短い柄のリピート。
平織り。
織り職人が経糸のテンションを調整しながら織る。
糸番手が変わるとその比率で経糸括りの長さも変わる。
経糸、緯糸それぞれ絣を織るのに適した番手の糸がある。
