絣織機は、右側についたハンドルレバーの操作で運転したり止めたりします。なので右利き用ということになります。そういえばハンドルが左についた織機を見たことがありません。下川織物の職人も全員右利きです。織機以外の機械
(道具)も右利きですね。全盛期には左利きの機械があったのだろうかとふと気になりました。
