久留米絣には、吉祥文様と呼ばれる伝統的な縁起柄が数多く作られてきましたが、特定の型にとらわれず、自由な感覚で表現した幾何学模様も数多く存在します。言葉では表現しにくい職人の感性を自由に描いていく領域は、大切にしたいと思います。
