ここ数年、安定した人気の柄です。久留米絣に限らずと思いますが、「水玉」「花柄」というのは時代に関係なく、多くの人に好まれる柄だと思います。水玉も立絣、ヨコ絣、タテヨコ絣などさまざまな技法での表現が可能であり、手織りと動力織での表現、化学染料と藍染めでの表現と職人のセンスが存分に発揮される領域でもあります。
