経糸のグラデーションは「ぼかし縞」。藍染めのような美しさも感じますが化学染料染め１００％です。細かく濃淡の染め分けを行い重ねていくことで生まれるグラデーションは、藍染めを意識して作り上げました。
緯糸は、「括り技法」により作り上げた水玉柄。片羽、ベタと職人が呼ぶ括りのテクニックで水玉の濃淡を表現し交互に並べました。これは「平織り」と呼ばれるプレーンな生地に立体感を作り出す職人の知恵から生まれています。
