今週のブログは、「立絣」の紹介が続きます。黒ベースのシンプルな柄。久留米絣は「括り」技法によるコントラストのはっきりした柄の表現が特徴です。柄の境目に「にじみ」がなく、はっきりと染め分けされているところが「括り」技法の特徴です。また久留米絣は糸の染め分けによって柄を作るため、織り方に関しては「平織り」と呼ばれる表裏のない織り方も魅力の一つであると言えます。
