8立ストライプは、経糸を8分割して8分の１の糸本数で柄のパターンを作り、８リピートで生地幅にしています。色の配色や並べ方のパターンは自由で組み合わせは無限大。写真のストライプは40/2という糸番手（糸の太さの単位）で統一していますが、２種類以上の糸番手で構成することも可能です。
