経糸は、40/2濃紺無地。緯糸は黒白に染め分けた絣糸。濃紺×黒なので写真だと黒っぽい印象が強いです。絣のベーシックな表現方法は花びらを括って白く表現するのが一般的です。この柄は、図案の描き方に工夫を加えて反転させました。経糸の色でバラの花を表現したかったのです。力強く咲き乱れるバラの花をイメージしました。
