「野に咲くバラ」のイメージ。一つ一つのバラは、大きさも向きも少しずつ異なっていて個性的な集まりが全体としてバランスの取れた百花繚乱をイメージしました。
このような花柄を絣で表現する場合、「黒地に白い花」の配色が一般的です。この柄は「逆括り」という技法を用いて、「白地に黒のバラ」を表現することで力強さを強調しています。いろいろと難しい時代でもありますが、野に咲く力強いバラの花に思いを馳せました。
