絣糸と地糸を太鼓に巻き付けます。
柄が乱れないように手で一定間隔に留めた糸を
数メートル伸ばします。
８００本以上の糸の束のテンションを
均一に保つためです。
図案に合わせてタテ糸を
荒オサに割り込み。
横並びの柄が
「グノマ」の技術で市松模様に変化。
横幅のテンションを均一に調整します。
半日かけて、丁寧に１６０ｍ程度の
タテ糸を巻いていきます。
