今日の「荒巻工程」は十字井桁柄の赤。
絣糸と地糸を太鼓に巻きつけます。
長さは12反、約１６０Mです。
図案に沿って、竹オサに
絣糸と地糸を割り込み
「グノマ」の技術で
互い違いになるよう
絣糸をずらします。
テンションを調整するため
数メートルの長さ 引っ張ります。
固まりになってた糸が
巻き取り直前で一本ずつに別れていきます。
巻き取り幅を調整して
ていねいに巻いていきます。
熟練の職人技で
半日程度かけて巻き上げます。
