Parisのデュペレ応用美術学校の学生であるMatisse Garlopeauは、4月17日から6月22日まで、２ヶ月ちょっと下川織物に滞在して久留米絣を学ぶ。インターンの期間も終わりに近づいた今日（6月19日）にこれまでを振り返ってインタビューした。2021年にインターンで訪れた学生同様、マティスも久留米絣のことを学ぶだけではなく、この土地に住んでさまざまな人と出会い交流することで何かを掴んだようだ。 こういった取り組みは、短期的には結果を見出すことが難しいが中長期目線では確実に何かが変わっていくことを教えてくれる。
