板状の木管に柄合わせして巻いた緯糸を用いて、ヨコ絣を織るために作った絣糸をあえて柄合わせせずにランダルに織った。加えて2本引き揃えで織ることで黒白に染め分けた2本の絣糸が複雑に折り重なることで色の濃淡に深みを増す。
