先染織物

工場内には、20台の織機が稼働しており、複数の職人が絶えず目を光らせて丁寧に織っています。久留米絣は予め染め分けた糸を組み合わせて織るいわゆる「先染織物」そのため１台ごとに様々な色柄を織ることができるのが特徴。細かく染め分ける楽しさもありますが、生産管理、在庫管理が大変でもあります。染色などの準備工程でロスが出ないよう各工程では様々な工夫を行います
