久留米絣の括り技法による色の表現の特徴は 地色が濃色で柄の部分が白または淡色。地色を薄くして柄を濃くする場合には、「脱色括り」または「逆括り」という技法を用います。立絣、ヨコ絣どちらの場合でも有効です。図案と配色のシミュレーションが重要ですが、職人の経験と感覚、センスも重要な要素だと捉えています。
